Coast Guard Auxiliary - Safety Inspections

On Saturday, June 24th, the Coast Guard Auxiliary will be at the club to do safety inspections on member's boats. There is no charge for this service.  The advantage to our members is it will insure that our members are in compliance with all the safety and life saving equipment that is required to be on your boat while operational. Also, if you boat exhibits this sticker in a conspicuous location and you are stopped by the Coast Guard for an inspection, it is my experience(2x) that the Coast Guard will forgo boarding and let you proceed on your way with no inspection.  There is a sign up sheet in the club on the bar. You must sign up to have your boat inspected. The inspections will begin at 9AM and continue till 4PM.  You must print your name next to the time slot on the sheet. One boat per time slot.  This is necessary to allow all our boat owner members to get their boats inspected. You must have a copy of your boat registration with you and if you have completed the Coast Guard Boating Course, it would be a good idea to have that in your possession also.  If there is an overflow of requests for inspections, we can extend it and do some on Sunday or at a later date.

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me by email or phone!
