Saltwater Registry

New Jersey has implemented a FREE Registry System for all saltwater anglers effective 5/5/2011. The only way to register is via the Internet at www.saltwaterregistry.nj.gov.

All anglers over 16 must have the NJ Registry certificate, even if they are registered in another state. Fines for lack of compliance are very steep....$300 to $3,000 for 1st time offenders; $500 to $5,000 for second offenses....you print out your own certificate and can have it laminated...it must be in your posession regardless if you are fishing in tidal waters from a boat or on-shore.Have a safe and prosperous fishing season............Commodore Bob McArdle
